
Jordan Daily – His Majesty King Abdullah II met with Japan Defence Minister Nakatani Gen on Thursday, and discussed ways to enhance defence and military cooperation between Jordan and Japan.
The meeting also covered the grave humanitarian situation in Gaza, the dangerous escalations in the West Bank, as well as recent developments in Syria and Lebanon.
His Majesty stressed the importance of stepping up efforts to achieve a ceasefire and ensure the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid to all areas of Gaza, commending Japan’s role in bolstering humanitarian efforts in the Strip.
For his part, Minister Nakatani expressed appreciation of Jordan’s important role in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East.
Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hneiti, and Japan’s Ambassador to Jordan Asari Hideki attended the meeting.
