Jordan Daily – His Majesty King Abdullah II is scheduled to inaugurate on Sunday the second ordinary session of the 20th Parliament, which comprises the Senate and the House of Representatives.
During the opening ceremony, His Majesty will deliver the Speech from the Throne, marking the official commencement of the new parliamentary session.
Following the speech, the Senate will convene to select members of the committee tasked with drafting a reply to the Throne Speech.
The Lower House will then hold a session, chaired by the eldest deputy, to elect its permanent office members – the speaker, two deputy speakers and two assistants.
