Kingdom faces weather shift with heat, dust and rain

By : JD

Jordan Daily – The Kingdom will see sharp weather changes this week, with a heat spike on Tuesday followed by a significant temperature drop from Wednesday, the meteorological department said.

A khamsini low-pressure system will raise temperatures 8–10°C above average on Tuesday, bringing dry, dusty, and hot conditions, especially in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Light rain is possible in some areas.

Dust will reduce visibility, prompting health warnings for respiratory patients. Cooler, windy, and still dusty weather is expected on Wednesday, with gusts reaching 60 km/h.
