Jordan Daily – Kuwait’s ambassador to Jordan, Hamad Al-Marri, emphasized the strength of bilateral relations between Kuwait and Jordan, describing them as among the strongest Arab ties and a model of cooperation.
In an interview with the Jordan News Agency on Kuwait’s 64th National Day, Al-Marri highlighted the close collaboration between the two countries in political, economic, and security fields, noting that 73 cooperation agreements cover various sectors.
Al-Marri pointed to ongoing coordination on regional issues, particularly the Palestinian cause, and cooperation in international forums such as the Arab League and the United Nations.
Kuwait is one of the largest investors in Jordan, with over $20 billion invested across sectors including finance, real estate, construction, telecommunications, housing, commercial complexes, energy, infrastructure, and industry.
The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development is a key donor, having funded major development projects in Jordan worth over $2 billion. These include infrastructure projects such as roads and bridges, solar energy initiatives, and improvements in education and healthcare.
The ambassador also mentioned two recent agreements worth $32.6 million for projects in infrastructure, education, and transportation.
Al-Marri praised the Jordanian workforce in Kuwait, numbering in the tens of thousands, for their professionalism, and noted the strong labor relations between the two countries.
