Jordan Daily – Jordan’s local revenues increased by JD 387.6 million ($546.8 million) to reach JD 5.807 billion in the first eight months of the current year, compared to the same period last year, according to the monthly financial bulletin of the Ministry of Finance.
The bulletin attributed this rise to the increase in tax revenues by about JD 177.6 million and non-tax revenues by about JD 210 million.
The increase in tax revenues was due to the increase in income and profit tax revenues by 215.9 million dinars , as a result of improved compliance and adherence of taxpayers in submitting tax returns without raising tax rates.
