low-cost airlines to resume flights to Jordan mid-September

Jordan Daily – The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) said low-cost airlines will gradually resume flights to the kingdom after mid-September, with routes and frequencies set to expand as operations normalize.
Commission chief Haitham Misto said Tuesday that carriers including Ryanair and Wizz Air, which already hold operating permits, will restart services linking Jordan with more than 18 European destinations. The regulator has asked both airlines to confirm flight schedules and frequencies before final approvals are granted.
Misto also disclosed that Eurowings, a German budget carrier, has formally applied to launch services to Jordan from multiple European cities. The regulator has requested detailed operational, technical and security information to complete the approval process. Jordan Tourism Board recently signed an agreement with Eurowings to support the routes.
According to the Board, Ryanair and Wizz Air are expected to resume operations at full capacity on Oct. 26. Planned destinations include Budapest, Paris, Rome, Brussels, Memmingen in Germany, Bucharest, Poznan and Krakow in Poland, as well as Pisa, Venice, Milan, Madrid and Prague.
