Jordan Daily – The Embassy of Malaysia in Amman, in collaboration with Turquoise Mountain, hosted the Malaysia Open Day on November 2, 2024, at the Turquoise Mountain Showroom.
The event aimed to showcase Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage while promoting business, trade, and tourism opportunities in the Southeast Asian nation.

In his welcome remarks, Malaysian Ambassador to Jordan, Mohamad Nasri Abdul Rahman, highlighted the event’s significance as a platform to introduce Malaysia’s traditional culture and cuisine.
Attendees were invited to experience live demonstrations of “Roti Jala” – a traditional Malaysian pancake – and “Teh Tarik,” Malaysia’s iconic tea drink. A currypuff-making competition also added to the cultural flavor of the day, offering a hands-on experience of preparing one of Malaysia’s beloved snacks.
In addition to cultural exhibits, the event provided opportunities to explore potential business, trade, and investment avenues in Malaysia. Visitors were also able to learn more about Malaysia’s tourism and education sectors, underscoring the country’s growing appeal as a global destination.
Ambassador Nasri noted the event’s role in strengthening ties between the Embassy, the diplomatic community, local businesses, and the Jordanian public. He also expressed gratitude to Turquoise Mountain for their partnership and thanked media partners for their continued support.
The event featured family-friendly activities and offered a unique cultural experience while encouraging future cooperation between Malaysia and Jordan.
