Jordan Daily – The Malaysian Ambassador to Jordan, Mohamad Nasri Abdul Rahman, officially launched the “My Journey with Arabic” program, aimed at enhancing Arabic language education for Malaysian students in Jordan.
The program, introduced by Manarat Al Sharq for Educational Tools in collaboration with the Jordan Tourism Board, integrates academic Arabic instruction with cultural and historical tours across Jordan.
Speaking at the launch, Ambassador Abdul Rahman, addressing the audience in Arabic, emphasized the importance of the language as the medium of the Quran and highlighted its global significance as the fifth most spoken language. The event was attended by Malaysian students enrolled in Jordanian universities.
Prof. Radzuwan Rashid, Minister Counsellor of Education at the Malaysian Embassy in Amman, underscored the importance of Arabic for Malaysian students due to its religious and cultural significance. He also highlighted the broad educational opportunities available to them in Jordan.
Bahjat Hamdan, Chairman of Manarat Al Sharq, described the program as a first in Jordan, offering a unique blend of language learning and guided tourism, allowing students to deepen their understanding of Jordan’s cultural heritage.
Abdullah Krishan, a representative of the Jordan Tourism Board, stressed the potential for increased cooperation between the board and the Malaysian Embassy to attract more Malaysian students to Jordan, particularly for Arabic language studies.
The event concluded with an exchange of souvenirs and a group photo featuring the ambassador, students, and program organizers.
