By : JD

Jordan Daily – Minister of Labor, Nadia Rawabdeh, has approved the licensing of agencies that recruit non-Jordanian domestic workers, following a recommendation from the Committee for the Regulation of Domestic Worker Agencies and Affairs.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Ministry clarified that this decision aims to regulate and control the labor market, enhance competitiveness among licensed agencies to improve the quality of services provided to citizens, and to make the process more convenient for Jordanians by ensuring these agencies are available across all governorates.

The Ministry also noted that the licensing of such agencies had been suspended since 2012, marking a twelve-year hiatus.
