MoU signed to bridge gap between public health and medical technology

Jordan Daily – The International Academy of Public Health (IAPH) and the Medical Technology & Laboratory Society (MTLS) officially joined forces through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This partnership was sealed by the signatures of IAPH’s Executive Director, Dr. Mohammad Tarawneh, and MTLS’s Executive Director, Dr. Hussein Al-Hijjawi.

This strategic partnership aims to strengthen the ties between academia and the medical technology sector, thus fostering innovation, knowledge exchange, and advancements in public health in Jordan, according to a press release sent to Jordan Daily.

The MOU signing ceremony took place at IAPH Headquarters in Amman-Jordan, on August 17, 2023 with representatives from both organizations present to mark this significant step towards achieving shared objectives.

This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between the academic insights of the International Academy of Public Health and the practical applications of medical technology championed by the Medical Technology & Laboratory Society. The scope of this collaboration encompasses educational programs, workshops, and seminars set to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals in both sectors.

This MoU reflects both parties’ commitment to continuous learning and is set to  contribute to a well-trained and competent health workforce in Jordan, the statement indicated.
