Murad Adailah elected general supervisor of Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan

Jordan Daily – The Shura Council of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan has elected Murad Al-Adailah as the new General Supervisor, succeeding the former General Supervisor Abdul Hamid Thneibat.

Al-Adailah’s election came after a second-round victory over his competitor Hamza Mansour, winning by a narrow margin of 28 votes to Mansour’s 27.

In addition, Abdul Hamid Thneibat was elected as the President of the Shura Council, defeating Dr. Abdullah Obeidat by the same margin of 28 votes to 27. Dr. Ayman Tawfiq Abu Al-Rub was elected as Thneibat’s deputy.

The executive office of the group saw the election of Jamil Abu Bakr, Mohammed Khalil Aql, Moataz Al-Harout, Wael Al-Saqa, Aref Hamdan, and Ali Abu Al-Sukkar as members.

The council session was held on Saturday in the capital, Amman. Notably, the meeting saw the withdrawal of former General Supervisor Dr. Hammam Saeed from the competition for the presidency of the Shura Council.
