Jordan Daily – The Azm Party, a new political one that advocates a free economy and social protection, held its founding conference on Saturday at the Royal Cultural Center in Amman.
The party approved its basic system and elected its central council and executive office, led by Engineer Zaid Naffa as secretary-general.
Naffa said in a speech the party was born from the “womb of the homeland” and aims to be at the good expectation of the homeland and its leader, King Abdullah II, who has called for comprehensive reforms in the political, administrative and economic fields.
He also said the party would seek to rebuild the middle class and provide equal opportunities for the youth and women, who he urged to participate actively in the political process.
Naffa noted the party would not tolerate any corruption or tampering with public money, and would adopt the approach of the free economy and all that it requires of requirements and possibilities for success.
The party said it would soon announce its detailed vision and plan for the development of the country, which is facing economic and social challenges.
