Jordan Daily – The total count of officially registered political parties in the nation has reached 32, as per the Political Parties Act No. 7 of 2022. In addition, 11 nascent parties are in the process of formation, with five having initially failed to achieve the legal quorum required for their inaugural congresses, subsequently completing the necessary steps to hold their foundational meetings.
Data released by the Independent Election Commission reveals a surge in party membership, totaling 71,682 individuals, with males constituting 56.06% and females 43.94%. The figures also show that there are 31,498 female and 40,184 male members, with youth aged between 18 to 35 years comprising 27,190 of the total membership.
