Jordan Daily -The National Electric Power Company’s (NEPCO) Chairman of the Board of Directors Omar Kurdi, and Director General Amjad Rawashdeh on Sunday conducted a field visit to check on the company’s northern power stations.
The stations generate electricity for four governorates with a load of 800 megawatts, accounting for 30 percent of the Kingdom’s load.
The two officials stressed the importance of maintaining the state of excellence applicable in the company’s various sites, urging to enhance winter preparedness and to adopt preventive measures to deal with electric failures that occur every winter season.
Talks during the visit also tackled NEPCO’s important role in serving the national economy by providing construction, planning, development, operation, maintenance, and management of the control systems, the electric transmission, and interconnection networks in Jordan.
