Jordan Daily – About 1.6 million students will return to classrooms across the kingdom on Sunday as the 2025/2026 academic year begins, the Ministry of Education said.
The ministry added that enrolment figures in public schools may still shift, as transfers and new registrations are processed with the official start of classes.
It said preparations have been completed to receive students, including the delivery of textbooks, classroom readiness, furniture, and staffing arrangements.
Teachers and school staff resumed work last Sunday to distribute textbooks and finalize the registration of new and transferred students, the ministry noted.
