Over 50,000 Syrian refugees return from Jordan since regime’s fall – UNHCR

Jordan Daily – Around 52,000 Syrian refugees have returned to their home country from Jordan since the fall of the regime, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

The UN agency said the returns occurred between December 8, following the regime’s collapse, and March 29 of this year.

It also noted a rise in the number of returnees in the final week of March, with an average of 372 individuals crossing back into Syria daily between March 23 and 29- more than double the previous daily average of 180 in recent weeks.
