Palestinian president receives interior minister
Jordan Daily – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, on Friday, received in Ramallah Interior Minister Mazen al-Farayeh, who is currently visiting Palestine as a representative of His Majesty King Abdullah II to take part at Christmas and the New Year festivals, accompanied by Jordan’s Ambassador to Palestine Mohammad abu-Wandi.
Abbas highlighted Jordan’s stances towards the Palestinian cause and the Kingdom’s support for the Palestinian right in establishing a sovereign and independent state on the pre-June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
For his part, al-Farayeh conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah’s greetings and well wishes to President Abbas on the occasion of Christmas and the New Year, stressing the Kingdom’s supportive stance, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, towards the Palestinian people and their just cause.
