Jordan Daily – Palestinian and Syrian women topped the list of Arab nationals marrying Jordanian men in 2024, official court data showed on Monday.
A total of 3,333 marriages between Jordanian men and Arab women were recorded, including 1,662 with Palestinians and 1,066 with Syrians. Egyptians and Iraqis followed with 277 and 127 cases, respectively.
Separately, 660 Jordanian men married non-Arab foreign women, led by Americans (173) and Germans (52).
Meanwhile, 3,090 Jordanian women married Arab men, most commonly Palestinians (1,709), while 627 married foreigners. Of those, 192 wed Americans and 64 married Germans, the report from the Sharia courts said.
