Jordan Daily – The House of Representatives has voted in favor of passing the amended Renewable Energy and Energy Rationalization Law for the year 2024.
The law aims to regulate the mechanisms for selling and purchasing electricity produced from facilities and homes equipped with renewable energy systems.
It also seeks to identify systems, devices, and equipment for renewable energy sources and rationalize energy consumption that is exempt from customs duties and subject to a general sales tax at a rate or amount of zero, under a system issued for this purpose.
