Jordan Daily – The House of Representatives has approved a bill that aims to amend the Traffic Law of 2023.
The proposed amendments seek to align the legislation with recent technological advancements in vehicle types, specifications, and equipment. Moreover, the main objective is to bolster traffic safety and minimize road accidents by imposing stricter penalties for violations that directly or indirectly result in loss of life.
Furthermore, the bill seeks to establish a higher council dedicated to traffic safety. This council will be responsible for endorsing the national strategy for traffic safety, implementing the action plans , and fostering collaboration among all relevant stakeholders involved in traffic safety and transportation.
