Jordan Daily – The House of Representatives today condemned maps shared by Israeli social media accounts that depict Israel’s “historic” borders, including parts of Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and the occupied Palestinian territories.
The maps were published alongside remarks by Israel’s far-right finance minister advocating for the annexation of the West Bank and settlement expansion in Gaza.
Parliament Speaker Ahmad Safadi called the maps a sign of “malicious ambitions” and praised Jordan’s readiness to respond.
He urged the government to take diplomatic and legal action and announced plans to engage international parliaments in support of Palestinian rights.
