Petra University, Arab Investor Forum sign MoU to boost innovation and entrepreneurship

Jordan Daily – University of Petra and the Arab International Investor Forum (AIIF) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing academic, research, and innovation collaboration, and linking university outputs with the investment sector.

The MoU was signed by Petra University President Prof. Rami Abdel Rahem and AIIF CEO Natheem Mohamed Sabbah.

The agreement focuses on supporting innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems within the university by funding student and research projects with commercialization potential. It also seeks to promote sustainable investment principles among students and researchers, and facilitate networking with local and global investors.

Under the MoU, Petra University commits to encouraging applied, investable research and active participation in joint initiatives. The forum will connect these projects to investor networks, launch collaborative programs, and promote knowledge exchange in sustainable investment.

Attending the signing ceremony were Petra University’s Chancellor Prof. Adnan Badran, Vice President Prof. Mayyas Rimawi, and other senior faculty members. From the AIIF side, attendees included Chairman Michael Fayeq Sayegh, board member and Head of Strategic Studies Arch. Meisa Batayneh, R&D advisor Dr. Hanan Melkawi, and Executive Director Feryal Khateeb.
