Jordan Daily – Prime Minister Jafar Hassan met on Sunday with heads of the country’s health professional associations, continuing a series of government discussions aimed at strengthening collaboration with key national sectors and institutions.
Hassan highlighted the important historical role of these associations in Jordan, reaffirming the government’s commitment to ongoing dialogue and consultation. He emphasized that the government seeks to incorporate the associations’ expertise into its programmes, particularly in areas of shared interest.
The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to implementing the Economic Modernisation Vision, which aims to boost Jordan’s economic resilience. He acknowledged the essential role that both the private sector and professional associations play in realizing these objectives.
Association heads raised several key issues during the meeting, including the promotion of medical tourism, support for the pharmaceutical and medical supplies sectors, job creation for health and medical graduates, and the need for updated regulations governing the health sector.
Hassan assured participants that their concerns were being addressed and pledged to conduct further meetings with sector experts and stakeholders in the coming weeks to delve into these issues.
