Jordan Daily – Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan emphasized the need for complete alignment among all ministries and government institutions on the goals and projects stemming from the Economic Modernization Vision and the Public Sector Modernization Roadmap, stressing a serious commitment to implementing them.
Speaking at an economic workshop held by the government today for ministers, secretaries-general, and directors responsible for overseeing progress at the Prime Ministry, Hassan underscored that commitment to implementation must be consistent and serious at all levels of the executive body.
“I will not leave anyone without support or assistance to help them succeed in this process—this is my promise,” Hassan said. However, he added, “Anyone who does not believe in the programs and projects of the vision should not be part of the team executing it.”
Hassan stressed, “I am very clear on this matter, and I will insist on its application and follow it personally.” He added, “These are state programs, part of the royal directives, and under no circumstances will I allow anyone to undermine our credibility.”
The prime minister identified three key factors necessary for Jordan’s progress and success in modernization programs: willpower, management, and execution.
He also highlighted the importance of continuity in implementing plans and programs, which reflects the determination that underpinned modernization plans developed in recent years through broad national consensus and partnerships.
Hassan pointed out that the challenge arises when governments change, resulting in backtracking on policies, plans, and completed work, which has eroded public trust over the years.
During the retreat, Hassan noted that the government would provide ministries with the required expertise, national competencies, and necessary support to build their capacities. This will help implement new mechanisms for measuring performance, evaluating impact, tracking progress, and identifying areas of deficiency to ensure the success of projects and programs.
He directed service ministries, whose employees interact directly with citizens, to adopt a problem-solving mindset rather than placing obstacles in front of those seeking services, stressing this as a fundamental issue.
Regarding execution, the prime minister emphasized the need for everyone to work as a unified, cohesive team, which is essential for enhancing achievement capacity.
Hassan stressed the importance of activating the established mechanism that includes follow-up units at the Prime Ministry and relevant ministries to ensure the continuity and sustainability of the state’s strategic plans.
In his address, Hassan urged ministers, secretaries-general, and heads of follow-up units not to give in to any challenges, emphasizing the need to persist in finding solutions, whether through the secretaries-general, ministers, or personally through him.
During the discussions , the prime minister also emphasized the need to focus on the job opportunities created as part of the Economic Modernization Vision, which he described as the key indicator of the government’s success.
