Jordan Daily – Prime Minister, Dr. Bishr Khasawneh, conducted a series of field and inspection tours on Wednesday, focusing on service and tourism institutions in the southern Ma’an Governorate. Among his visits was the Eil Water Station, a critical water supply facility serving approximately 35,000 residents in the region.
In his visit, Prime Minister Khasawneh emphasized the importance of enhancing water supply services at the Eil station. He underscored the need to modernize the water sector’s infrastructure and address water losses. The Prime Minister also directed efforts to rehabilitate, modernize, and expand water wells, all aimed at ensuring the provision of top-notch water services to citizens.
During his visit , Khasawneh was briefed on the station’s operations by the Minister of Water and Irrigation, Mohammad Najjar, and the Director General of the Aqaba Water Company, Khaled Obeidien. They outlined the measures in place to maintain a consistent water supply that meets the highest standards.
Furthermore, Najjar and Obeidien presented key ongoing projects aimed at modernizing the station’s infrastructure and introducing new water sources, all designed to enhance water services for the community.
In addition to the water station visit, Khasawneh also toured the Eil Comprehensive Health Center in Ma’an Governorate.
During this visit, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of delivering top-quality healthcare services to citizens. He emphasized the need to ensure the availability of all essential healthcare and treatment supplies and to maintain the center’s round-the-clock operations.
Accompanied by the Minister of Health, Firas Hawari, Prime Minister Khasawneh had the opportunity to explore the center’s facilities. He received detailed briefings on the range of services offered by the center.
Moreover, the Prime Minister engaged in conversations with both patients and visitors, gaining insights into their experiences with the medical and treatment services provided at the center.
