Political analyst calls for reassessment of defense strategies in conflict zones

Jordan Daily – Political analyst Dr. Monther Howarat stated there is systematic destruction and unrestrained killing in Gaza , destruction in Lebanon with daily bombings, consistent strikes on Syria, and attacks on various sites in Iraq and Yemen.

He noted that these attacks have accurately hit their targets, leading to significant human and material losses. Howarat questioned, “Why have the forces fighting the occupying state focused solely on offense without considering defense? Why were civilian targets left exposed, allowing the occupying state to wreak havoc mercilessly, resulting in immense human losses that cannot be overlooked or deemed necessary sacrifices for achieving the goal?”

In a post on Platform X, Al-Howarat added, “Defending the assets of any Arab country should be a fundamental pillar before considering any confrontation. These assets are essential for continuing support for various social groups.”

He emphasized the need to “reassess the current reality to reduce human and material losses and minimize resource waste,” and called for re-evaluating “the political outcomes of any military action to determine whether they benefit our causes, making matters clearer and more impactful.”
