Jordan Daily – The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Ali Al-Khawaldeh, stated on Monday that most political parties are concentrated in the capital, Amman, with others present in Irbid and Zarqa , noting a rising trend in party membership numbers.
Speaking on Al-Mamalka TV, Al-Khawaldeh explained that “the current law has affirmed the seriousness of party work.” He added, “Most of the parties are concentrated in the capital, Amman, and there are governorates where there are parties with good numbers, such as Zarqa and Irbid, which is natural due to the population size.”
The number of party members has reached 86,000 in Jordan, a figure that is “rising, which is positive because party work is an individual, voluntary, and exhausting choice,” according to Al-Khawaldeh.
He suggested that other parties “review their literature, means, and tools, and may return to competition once again.”
