Jordan Daily – Public Security Directorate (PSD) renewed warnings against fake social media accounts operated from outside the country, saying they were created specifically to incite strife and racial tensions.
The spokesperson for the directorate said the Cybercrime Unit continues to monitor these accounts in coordination with the Public Prosecutor’s Office. Authorities have also identified and arrested several individuals within Jordan who engaged with these accounts by commenting or resharing their content, referring them for legal action.
The spokesperson stressed that authorities will not tolerate any attempts to incite discord, provoke sectarianism, or undermine national unity.
Citizens were urged to avoid engaging with such accounts by following, sharing, or commenting on their content to prevent legal consequences and avoid assisting in their harmful objectives.
The PSD called on the public to remain vigilant and work together to counter those seeking to spread division and discord within Jordanian society.
