Jordan Daily –  A rare total lunar eclipse will be visible over Jordan on Sunday, lasting more than five hours in one of the longest such events in recent years, the Jordanian Astronomical Society said.

The eclipse will peak at 9:11 p.m. local time, with the moon glowing red for 82 minutes as it passes fully into Earth’s shadow. The total phase will run from 8:30 p.m. to 9:52 p.m.

Public viewing will be held at Amman’s Sports City, with telescopes and live broadcasts provided. The eclipse will be visible across much of the world, reaching about 60% of the global population.
