Jordan Daily – His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Regent, on Wednesday visited the Ministry of Interior.
Crown Prince Al Hussein stressed the need to increase public outreach by governors and administrative directors to identify citizens’ needs and enhance public services.
The Crown Prince called for continuing the implementation of the ministry’s measures to bolster the rule of law and facilitate the entry of tourists to Jordan.
The Regent was briefed by Interior Minister Mazen Farraya on workflow at the ministry’s various directorates.
His Royal Highness also chaired a meeting for the Higher Council for Traffic Safety, which is headed by the interior minister, stressing the importance of focusing on traffic safety awareness to reduce casualties resulting from road accidents.
The Crown Prince stressed the need for the council to coordinate with all stakeholders on the implementation of its plans.
For his part, Minister Farraya gave a briefing on the National Traffic Safety Strategy (2024-2028), as well as the council’s executive plan and the measures taken to reduce traffic accidents.
Farraya also highlighted the tasks and duties of the council, and the outcomes of the amended traffic law, which has led to a decrease in the number of deaths caused by traffic accidents.
