Jordan Daily – Yousef Issawi, Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court (RHC) and head of the committee overseeing the implementation of King Abdullah II’s initiatives, conducted inspections of royal initiative projects in Madaba and the capital governorates. These visits were in response to the King’s directives during his interactions with local dignitaries and residents.
Issawi’s first stop was at Imad al-Din Zenki Secondary School for Boys in Madaba’s Kasbah. The ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation work at the school were initiated by His Majesty the King during his recent visit to the governorate. The project aims to address the needs of the school, which currently accommodates 340 students across 11 classrooms. Comprehensive maintenance, including infrastructure improvements, classroom upgrades, and furnishings, is underway. Additionally, the adjacent sports facilities are being refurbished.
The education sector remains a focal point of royal initiatives, with efforts spanning various regions. These initiatives encompass the construction of new school infrastructure, refurbishment of existing facilities, expansion, and equipping of libraries, labs, and workshops. The goal is to create conducive learning environments that nurture students’ skills and talents.
In the Al-Faisaliah area of Madaba, Issawi visited the medical supplies and apparel factory project. This venture is part of the production branches and units initiative, which was outlined following King Abdullah II’s directives during meetings with Central Badia notables and leaders. The project, nearing 70 percent completion, is a pioneering effort in Jordan. It aims to produce approximately 5 million units of clothing and medical supplies, addressing 70 percent of the local market demand.
The production branches and units initiative, established in 2008 under royal directives, seeks to create production outlets for factories and major enterprises in targeted rural areas. By doing so, it facilitates local employment opportunities for youth who have undergone post-qualification training.
Collaborating with the Golden Mask Health Supplies Company, the Ministry of Labor has forged an agreement to establish a production branch in the Al-Faisaliah area. Anticipated to generate 150 job opportunities for residents, this branch will produce high-quality medical supplies, reducing reliance on imports. Operations are expected to begin in the final quarter of this year.
In the Al-Muwaqqar area, Issawi inspected the Zumailat Health Center project. This initiative, instructed by King Abdullah II during his visit to Central Badia, is nearing completion. The center, equipped with clinics for chronic diseases, family medicine, dentistry, maternity, pediatrics, and an emergency department, aims to deliver optimal healthcare services to local residents.
Royal health initiatives prioritize enhancing healthcare services in remote areas. The focus includes modernizing facilities, providing requisite medical apparatus, and improving service quality to enhance patient experiences. These efforts aim to reduce travel for medical care and expedite treatment delivery.
Issawi emphasized His Majesty King Abdullah II’s commitment to citizen service and development demands. The King’s directives translate into initiatives, sustainable programs, and projects that address citizen needs, foster community development, and deliver quality services across various sectors.
Residents of Madaba Governorate, as well as those in Al-Muwaqqar and adjacent regions, can expect to witness the positive impact of these developmental ventures. These projects are executed in collaboration with public and private sector entities, reflecting the King’s dedication to the well-being of Jordanian citizens.
