Jordan Daily – His Majesty King Abdullah II honored the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC) with the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence of the second class , recognizing its role in agricultural development and job creation.
The award was received by the Director General of NARC,Dr. Nizar Haddad.
The royal recognition , coinciding with the Kingdom’s celebrations of the 78th Independence Day and the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty’s accession to the throne, was celebrated by the staff of the Center.
Dr. Haddad stated that the royal honor is not only a recognition for the center but also for all workers in the agricultural sector, especially the farmers who are the backbone of the agricultural sector, through the royal interest in the agricultural sector.
He added that the National Agricultural Research Center pledges to remain at the forefront of agricultural scientific institutions contributing to the building of modern Jordan, committed to His Majesty’s vision, and determined to develop the agricultural sector and achieve agricultural development armed with science and knowledge.
Dr. Haddad confirmed that this royal honor is a great motivator for all members of the Center to continue their diligent work and agricultural development through scientific research mechanisms.
The center will continue its pursuit to achieve excellence and leadership at both the local and international levels, enhancing Jordan’s position as a distinguished agricultural scientific center to achieve sustainable development in the region, Haddad noted.
