Safadi in Iran for talks, no Israeli messages

Jordan Daily – An official Jordanian source confirmed to Al Jazeera that Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi visited Tehran at the invitation of Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani. The source emphasized that Safadi was not carrying any messages to or from Israel.

Al Jazeera had earlier reported, citing an unnamed Iranian source, that Safadi arrived in Tehran bearing three messages from King Abdullah II , as well as from leaders in the United States and Israel. The Iranian source indicated that Tehran would deliver two messages to Safadi, one intended for Jordan and the other for the United States and Israel.

Safadi’s visit to Iran coincides with ongoing diplomatic efforts by the United States and its partners, including France, the United Kingdom, and Italy, aimed at preventing further escalation in the region.
