Jordan Daily – Saudi Arabia will provide $90 million in direct financial support to the Palestinian Authority, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said on Thursday.
Speaking at a press briefing on the sidelines of the 80th session of the U.N. General Assembly in New York, bin Farhan said the “New York Declaration” reflected a historic international consensus on the need to end the Israeli occupation and establish an independent, sovereign Palestinian state.
He added that the number of countries recognizing Palestine has risen to 159, representing the overwhelming majority of U.N. member states, underscoring a growing international determination to make Palestinian statehood an irreversible reality.
