Security tops agenda in Jordan-Lebanon prime ministers’ call

Jordan Daily – Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan received a phone call on Tuesday from his Lebanese counterpart, Nawaf Salam, during which both sides reaffirmed the strong bilateral relations between their two countries, according to an official statement.

Prime Minister Salam expressed Lebanon’s full solidarity with Jordan amid any threats to its security and stability, and underscored his country’s readiness to cooperate closely with Jordanian authorities in addressing potential risks affecting both nations.

Hassan, in turn, thanked Lebanon for its support and said that recent security threats thwarted by the General Intelligence Directorate and other security agencies demonstrated the kingdom’s resilience and strength stressing that Jordan would continue to stand by its Arab partners in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
