Jordan Daily – The Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF) hosted an awareness session featuring Engineer Bassam Maharmeh, the President of Jordan’s National Cyber Security Center (NCSC-JO), to discuss the role of cybersecurity in business and investment sectors.
The session, attended by SSIF CEO Dr. Ezzeddin Kanakrieh, along with SSIF managers and staff, underscored the importance of cybersecurity in bolstering national economic growth, business sectors, and financial stability.
Maharmeh outlined , in a statement to the Jordan Daily , the key aspects of the National Cybersecurity Strategy, including practices and procedures to safeguard institutional information , highlighting the recent Cabinet approval of a coordinated national plan to tackle cyber threats and incidents, ensuring business continuity and the protection of people, property, and information.
Kanakrieh lauded the ongoing collaboration between SSIF and NCSC-JO, which includes conducting tests to prevent breaches in automated systems , reaffirming the Fund’s commitment to national cybersecurity policies, strategies, risk management approaches, and information security controls.
The session, organized by SSIF, is part of ongoing efforts to educate its staff on cybersecurity risks and support the continued implementation of methodologies to protect SSIF’s database and automated systems.
