Jordan Daily – Minister of State Wajih Azaizeh discussed bilateral ties and regional developments with U.S. Ambassador Yael Lampert on Tuesday, according a statement.
Azaizeh praised King Abdullah’s efforts to end the war on Gaza and protect civilians, and reiterated Jordan’s support for a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, with East Jerusalem as the capital of a sovereign Palestinian state.
Lampert commended the king’s leadership in seeking peace and stability in the region, and rejected forced displacement of Palestinians from their land. She also affirmed the U.S. commitment to cooperate with Jordan on various issues of mutual interest.
