Jordan Daily – Syrian authorties announced a ban on the entry of Israeli and Iranian nationals into Syria. The authority also prohibited the entry of goods originating from Iran, Israel, and Russia.
In an official circular issued late on Friday, the authority barred the entry of Israeli and Iranian nationals, as well as goods from Iran, Russia, and Israel.
The move follows notifications to airlines operating in Syria, informing them that they are forbidden from transporting Israeli or Iranian nationals into the country.
A source at Damascus Airport, speaking on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to speak to the media, said airlines flying to Damascus were instructed not to carry passengers holding Israeli or Iranian citizenship, according to Agence France-Presse (AFP).
