Jordan Daily – Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority’s Board of Commissioners, Bassam Sarhan, Friday held a meeting in Amman with RIPE NCC experts.
According to a statement by the authority, the meeting came on the sidelines of the launch of the National Day of the Internet Protocol – Version 6, which was hosted by the authority yesterday.
Sarhan said during the meeting that the authority’s efforts came as a continuation of the previous efforts made in preparing Jordan for the sixth version of the Internet Protocol through its series of workshops and specialised training courses to build capacities.
He added that the authority continues its cooperative efforts and its firm commitment to contribute to the digital readiness in Jordan.
For his part, the Regional Director for Policies and Governmental Affairs at the organisation, Shafiq Chia, praised the initiatives that strengthen the bonds of cooperation between the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in Jordan and international organisations, noting the “importance” of leveraging the authority’s experiences to build human capacities, provide the necessary tools and technologies and share experiences.
