Jordan Daily – The Meteorological Department has issued a severe heatwave warning for today, cautioning citizens about the dangers of direct sunlight exposure, dehydration, and the risk of leaving children and flammable materials inside closed vehicles.
Temperatures are expected to rise significantly above the average for this time of year by about 8-9 degrees Celsius due to a very hot and dry air mass moving in from the Arabian Peninsula.
The weather will be extremely hot in most areas, with some clouds expected to appear at medium altitudes in the eastern part of the kingdom.
The department also warned of the potential for forest fires and the impact of rising temperatures on the health of patients and the elderly.
