Jordan Daily – The Israeli military reported on Friday that armed individuals had crossed into Israel from Jordan, near the Dead Sea, and entered the Neot HaKikar settlement in the southern region.
In an initial statement, the Israeli army said, “A short while ago, IDF forces identified several armed individuals who crossed from Jordan into Israeli territory south of the Dead Sea. Forces quickly arrived at the scene, neutralizing two gunmen who opened fire. The area is currently being searched.”
According to Israeli news outlet Ynet, two Israelis were injured in the shooting attack carried out by the infiltrators at a site near Moshav Neot, south of the Dead Sea. The condition of the injured remains unclear.
