Jordan Daily – University of Jordan (UJ) President Nazir Obeidat announced that the university has saved JD 6 million and reduced its debt to 6.5 million dinars.
He highlighted financial pressures faced by Jordanian universities and the need to upgrade facilities. The university has updated over 70% of its classrooms and is hiring young teaching staff.
Obeidat also stressed the importance of revising academic programs and finding financial resources beyond tuition fees.
