UK’s new envoy to Jordan presents credentials to King Abdullah, hails strong partnership

Jordan Daily – UK’s new ambassador to Jordan, Philip Hall, said on Monday he was honoured to present his credentials to King Abdullah and reaffirmed the close and strong partnership between the two kingdoms.

“I was honoured to present HM King Charles III’s confirmation of my appointment as Ambassador to HM King Abdullah II. The partnership between the Kingdoms and the peoples of the United Kingdom and Jordan is close, strong and forward-looking,” Hall wrote on X.

Hall, who succeeded ambassador Bridget Brind as the UK envoy in Amman, made his remarks after a ceremony at the Royal Court where King Abdullah received the credentials of several newly appointed ambassadors to Jordan.

Hall, a career diplomat has served in various posts in the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
