UNHCR: Over 630,000 Syrian refugees return since early 2024

Jordan Daily – The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) reported that over 630,847 Syrian refugees have returned home since early 2024, with 270,010 returning after the fall of Bashar Al-Assad’s regime.

Most crossed through border points from Lebanon due to security pressures.

The UNHCR also noted that around 20,100 Syrian refugees in Jordan have returned, while about 600,000 remain in the country.
