University of Jordan, QUILL launch first commercial robotics lab in Jordan

Jordan Daily – The University of Jordan has inaugurated the QUILL Laboratory for commercial and service robotics at the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology, under the patronage of University President Professor Nathir Obeidat.

Aladdin Khalaileh, CEO of QUILL said in remarks seen by Jordan Daily, the facility is the first of its kind in Jordan, offering hands-on training with real wheeled and mobile robots. Students and external participants will gain practical experience in operating, programming, maintaining and deploying robotic systems in real-world environments.

QUILL, the first company in Jordan to introduce advanced robotics technologies, provides robots, disinfection systems and other innovative solutions aimed at streamlining daily life, empowering businesses and increasing customer retention and satisfaction.

Khalaileh noted the lab aims to bridge academic learning with industry application, with plans to expand the facility to include advanced humanoid and quadruped robots.
