Jordan Daily – The University of Petra has been listed in the QS World University Rankings, placing in the 1201–1400 band for 2026.
The ranking includes only 1,501 universities out of 8,467 evaluated worldwide. University President Prof. Rami Abdel Rahem said the achievement reflects the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and internationalization.
“This progress in one of the world’s most prominent university rankings is a clear reflection of our dedication to quality and excellence in higher education,” Abdel Rahem said.
The university ranked 429th globally for international student diversity and 635th for international faculty. It also scored in the 701+ range for academic and employer reputation.
Abdel Rahem credited the progress to strategic efforts in research, global partnerships, and student-focused education.
