Jordan Daily – The University Petra has inaugurated a new Financial Technology (Fintech) Laboratory at its Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, fully funded by Noor Almal for Global Markets and Financial Brokerage(NCM).
The opening ceremony was attended by University President Prof. Rami Abdel Rahem and Noor Almal General Manager Sadeq Saadeh, Petra University said in a statement received by Jordan Daily.
Prof. Abdel Rahem thanked Noor Almal for its support, noting that the lab is the first of its kind among Jordanian universities. He said it provides a practical learning environment to enhance students’ technical and analytical skills in fintech.

Noor Almal financial expert Mohammad Al-Nabulsi presented the lab’s concept, explaining that it simulates financial market trading rooms and integrates artificial intelligence technologies, giving students access to global financial databases for advanced analysis.
Saadeh praised the university’s collaboration and swift execution of the project, describing it as a model partnership between the academic and financial sectors.

Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, Dr. Saheer Al-Jaghoub, said the lab will serve as a foundation for ongoing cooperation, helping students gain professional and financial literacy grounded in practical experience.
Equipped with Bloomberg and Reuters terminals, the lab allows students to simulate market environments and analyze economic and financial indicators in real time.
