Jordan Daily – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) denied reports claiming that Palestinian staff members were given notices indicating their contracts would be terminated within 12 months.
In a statement on its official website, UNRWA spokesperson Adnan Abu Hasna said the information was “completely false.” He clarified that the agency’s West Bank operations, specifically in Sheikh Jarrah, are functioning normally and that no staff member has been issued a termination notice.
Abu Hasna emphasized that UNRWA’s operations are continuing as usual and that “everything is fine.” He added that the recent relocation of international staff from Gaza to other countries is due to Israel’s restriction on their entry into the territory.
