USAID Administrator concludes visit to Jordan

Jordan Daily – Samantha Power, the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), concluded a two-day official visit to Jordan on Wednesday. Her visit coincided with the United States’ celebration of the 75th anniversary of its partnership with Jordan.

During her time in Amman, Power acknowledged the positions of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the government, praising their significant humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip. She engaged in discussions about the United States’ ongoing commitment to providing life-saving aid to civilians in Gaza.

Power’s itinerary included a visit to a World Food Program warehouse in Amman, as well as inspections of USAID-supported water infrastructure projects, USAID said in a statement.

In meetings with Jordanian officials, she reaffirmed USAID’s dedication to assisting the Jordanian government in implementing crucial development priorities, with a particular focus on water sustainability.
