Wadi Rum attracts 18,000 visitors in two months
Jordan Daily – Wadi Rum, a popular tourist destination in Jordan, has seen a significant influx of visitors in the past two months, with a total of 18,359 visitors, the majority of whom were foreigners, according to data from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
The data shows that the number of visitors in December was 6,814, while in February it reached 11,545. Foreign visitors made up the majority, with a total of 14,200 visitors. Arab visitors accounted for 1% of the total, numbering 187, while Jordanian visitors made up 22% of the total, with 3,972 visitors.
The latest data from the Central Bank indicates that tourism revenue in Jordan saw a growth of 8.9% in February compared to the same month in 2023, reaching 389.7 million dinars ($549.6 million).
